The chokes have bloomed!!

Because they are on the side of the house that I hardly ever venture over too, I might have missed them, but here they are, the most beautiful shade of lavender...there are lots of them, I hope they last a while:)

Because I'am always so inspired by Glenni, I wanted to show my new containers, gotta love Costco, now MY fridge is a silverware drawer too:) I have needed to clean it out for a longggggggg time, Glenni, your boboli pizza sauce was still in there, how sick is that?????? Now it is a work of art, these cute little containers just thrill me.........I LOVE to buy organizational tools, we wont even talk about how excited I get at the container store. Now, if only I could get organized................sign, just not my forte...BUT, this summer, while I'm off, I will try........I have spent the last few month stockpiling containers, baskets, totes, and Im ready to begin. Next, I will tackle my closet.........Im saving the garage for last........it scares me.

Maybe this week is the week I will drag out the sewing machine......if I can get to it? I will NOT spend the whole summer on work projects, and not get any fun stuff done!!!!

Iam so enjoying my evening walks, and Cheech is meeting lots of new dogs, its amazing how many people are out walking in the summer now, a month ago we could walk for miles and only see 1 or 2 dogs, now they are everywhere. There is a great dane that is as big as a horse, and cheech is totally confused by it.....then there are little chihuahuas, and a darling spaniel, we are having too much fun. AND, drum roll please, I lost another pound, so Iam down 17 pounds..........I'm 3 pounds aways from 20 pounds, yeah for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will walk this weight off, yes I will!!!!!!!!

I have been making the best NO carb salad dressing too,........in a container, put equal amounts of olive oil and balsamic vinager, a squirt of mustard, a minced garlic, kosher salt, and pepper, shake well, yummmy..pour over field greens, add walnuts and sliced red onions, to die for!!!!! Tonight I will make it and put a nice broiled salmon on top............

OK.....Im off to organize something.............

Dodger baseball, the best beef dips in the world, throw in some garlic fries, top it off with a ice cream sandwich = one happy camper on Fathers Day....... we wont talk about how they lost to the Angels..........no we wont..........

a few firsts...............

the first shasta daisy of the year, the first nastersuim, the first gladiola bloom.........and I had to include these, the artichokes are almost ready to bloom, there are lots of them, they should be quite a show, they better be, since we didnt get to EAT them, because we wanted the show!!!! AND Poke is doing much better with his plucking, since we put him on a regimine of "pluck no more " a true miracle.......an herbal remedy that is supposed to calm him down, and cure him of his horniness, which I think is the reason he pulled out all his feathers in the first place....
as you can see he is a much happier camper.
Did you see in the previous post the awesome Betsy Johnson bracelet........I love it so much I wore it to work 2 days in a row, wont be wearing it today, Chelsey got a hold of it and begged on bended knee to wear it to work.......question of the day ......"will I ever see it again?"

a little bit a bling.........

OK, I may be too old, whatever, but I can't resist a little bling from Betsy Johnson..........fell in LOVE with the Bracelet, and so I had to have the earrings too.........after all, Betsys older than ME, and Im sure she wears her bling!

I do draw the line at Juicy Couture, dont worry, I have not completely gone off the deep end...........seeing women of a mature age wearing sweat pants that say Juicy across the butt always make me laugh..........even tho I DO have a tattoo!!!!!! It's my little bit of bliss........so today I will wear my Betsy.....with a conservative black suit of course!!!!!!

I hit the sidewalk at 7 this morning after getting on the scales and GAINING 3 pounds overnight.....now what I want to know, is how does that happen, how do you GAIN 3 pounds in one day?????? I can see it if I ate a side of beef, or a dozen Krispy Kremes, but no, Im on a diet!!!!!!! So anyways, when I came back, Little Cheech went with me, we came in and I didnt even notice that Joe had put his lunch on the pony wall because he was just about to leave for work.............let's just say Cheech enjoyed a nice bowl of tuna for breakfast! And Joes buying his lunch!

The birds moved out of the duck taped birdhouse, I miss the sounds they make......

OK, I think Im gonna do some time on the eliptical machine..........about 3 hours should do it!!!!! This diet is getting the better of me!!!!!

I have been tagged for the first time.........Doe tagged me to list my "to do" list.......the first thing on it was to learn how to post links on this dang blog, which is not as easy as it sounds for my old brain, but I hope it works........anyways, my to do list, and everything else in my life goes on this big A*& calender from pottery barn....wasn't sure if I would like it, but now I can't live without it, hubby and I both put our schedules, plans, invites, and anything else that comes along, including my to do list, it goes on here too. The first thing on my list is to be at Tuesday Mornings first thing tomorrow morning to try to score a cropper hopper for 39.99!
Second on the list, Kaiser to pick up a prescription, #3. go to the bank 4. do my invoices for work 5. go to home depot to get plants to fill the pots I got at Target, when I should have been doing the things on my list.........but isn't Target just the BEST? I also have a "summer" to do list, for when Im off, well, mostly off, I will still have some work........its as follows:
1. teach the youngest to sew, I got her a machine for her birthday..
2. catch up on summer reads, the trashier the better, any suggestions?
3. have cupboards installed in the garage, and organize everything.
4. learn how to use my camera, I' ve only had it for a year!
5. make the patterns in the picture, just for the fun of it
6. maybe, just maybe take a quilting class
OK, thats about as ambitious as I want to get right now.
I got some new pots from Target, they are awesome, so old looking...........I will go get plants and post pics after they are planted.

Oh yes she did..........

What is a trip to Solvang without ableskevers, a delightful little fried puff of pastry that is covered with raspberry jam, omgggg.......so I threw caution to the wind....and now I will pay for it, I will not get on the scale to see how badly, I will jump back on the diet for at least a week before I step on the scale to see damages. I WAS at 15 pounds lost...........Tracey, will I ever see you again???
