Yippy Skippy......

I made a doll!!!!!! lololol...not that I havent made hundreds of Annies....way too many to count....I have not made one in ages...AGES!!!!!!!
Years ago under the name of AllThingsRaggedy I sold my Annies on Ebay, folkofart and RantingRaven.....and at shows....but then I got a JOB...and so I stopped making them for about...geez...probably 7 or 8 years!!!!!! And I LOVED my job...selling perfume...BUT when the economy took a dump it was no longer as fun...so I retired. Well. I retired a few times and was lured back BUT now Im retired for good....FOR GOOD!!!!!!
I have made a few dolls over the years...just for friends...but I havent made one in the last year or two...
SO my sister and I...and my old partner Raggedyoldfriend and MAYBE HOPEFULLY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE my BFF decided to do a show...in October at Piecemakers......now we used to do this show 3 times a year when we were selling dolls and its always a blast...so I decided WHY not????? I mean..Im still retired, but I can make a few dolls..right? My sister Lindamakes the most amazing totes (go check them out) and so I figured it would be fun to join her and do the show......and Lieghanne makes the most amazing dolls ever...so it should be fun. Piecemakers is an amazing quilt shop and they always put on a great show...live band...yummy food and its down at the beach so how can we go wrong????
So this weekend I broke the ice and decided to see if I could still sew....lol....its always fun to see them come together!

Today Im so grateful to have a beautiful grand daughter and to know how much she is loved. Im sad to know there will never be justice for another precious little girl...
so very very sad.....

Country Loft

My sister and I decided to take a little field trip to Country Loft after spying on their website all the new goodies....so off we went....and no trip to Country Loft is complete without hooking up with Ms. GingerPatches herself Tammy..and Janine who has no blog....
Poor Tammy...look at those fingers:(

And no trip is complete without lunch at Sammys.....yummy gourmet pizzas and salads...we sat there for HOURS gabbing and did not even realize that like 3 hours had gone by!!!!!!

This is a BOM for fall...wonderful...all wool and those yummy nubby linens!

and they had had a trunk show of primitive hooked rugs, makes me want to rughook again....they are beautiful!!!!

POOR Tammy and her sad fingers....now I know why her emails are funny....j/k girlfriend!!!!

All in all..awesome day with awesome friends!!!!

When my sister listed this bag on etsy I had to do a double take.....birds AND peace signs...two of my favorite things...SOOOOOOOOOO....I treated MYSELF!!!!!! after al, a gal cant have too many bags can she??? enlarge the picture and check out the 3 little birds...they are done in wool! and check out that button too....
This one will be fun to take to the Quilt Show that is coming up in July in Long Beach..hopefully I can stuff a lot of fun stuff into it!!!
When my sister started making her bags....I knew she would make great bags,because unlike me she is a perfectionist. BUT omg some of the bags, diaper bags, backpacks and messenger bags she is making are adorable, and most of them have wool touches or stitchery on them to make them one of a kind. In the meantime...summer has finally arrived here in So Cal....I must say it tooks its time....but now its here with a vengence....and Im not happy about it.
