No Fall in Sight......

We are still having 90 degree days here, no fall yet.....and can I tell you Im thinking every day about my first pumpkin spice latte...but I really just cant get into it when its so hot out.....BUT first cool day, Im going to Starbucks!!!!!!

I love getting out that big orange tote and seeing all my fall decorations after a whole year has gone by. Fall is my fav for decorating, I HATE to take it down to put up Christmas, if I could, I would leave it up all year. I go this guy in a swap many years ago......

These guys were made by Glenni and I have them all over my house, I love them......

This gal was made by Black Cat Hollow.......I got her at a show years ago....

Soooooooo..guess what these are............gee, they look like something that goes on top of cupcakes.........arent they cute?? the skulls glow in the dark! I think I need to make cupcakes, maybe take them to work to celebrate my last day of work tomorrow for at least 3 weeks..............never mind that my arm and hand will be in a CAST......I can still DRIVE right????? Long lazy days at Borders drinking lattes and reading magazines......I can still lay in the sun...right???? I can still watch old movies right???? Im trying very hard to be positive.......what would YOU do if you couldnt use your hand for 3 weeks???????

Go crazy. I honestly don't know what I will do. That would be the time I would want to do everything on my home "To Do" list but can't since I can't use my hand. Go figure.

Enjoy the rest!

Where would I go? To the looney bin!!! I cannot honestly say I know what I'd do without one of my hands. I mean, I could read but I'd be crazy knowing I couldn't do embroidery, rotary cutting, sewing etc.....

Good luck with that and hope everything heals fast.

When do you have your surgery? I hope all goes well, and you can while away the days at your leisure, enjoying that bit of Fall that is sure to come very soon. You can always hold your Pumpkin Spice Latte with the other hand.
My fav too by the way.

Well, I had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand in 1995 & couldn't use it for awhile then 6 weeks later had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand & same thing. Thank goodness that was before I took up quilting. It was hard for me because I don't like to lay around doing nothing! The break from accounting/bookkeeping wasn't bad though but when you are limited with your hands, didn't do me much good to be home from work! :)

You will get through it you find out what you can use to your advantage...hubby may have to do dishes but you can shop, lay out and tan(especially since it has been so warm), go get a massage, see it will all be good:)
