It just could not have been a better day!!!! A couple times a year an old dear friend of mine from junior high,,,YES, that was about 40 something years ago, spend the day together, and yesterday we spent it at Rogers Gardens down at the beach. We had a wonderful lunch with an ocean view and then we just wandered around Rogers admiring things there that no other nursery around carries. And there were pumpkins galore. I wanted to get a shot of thier awesome gift shop, but it was closed so they can get it all ready for Christmas...I was so sad! But I still managed to do some damage...they have an awesome selection of succulents, perfect for the hot weather we have here, so I picked up some I have never seen before, and as soon a I do what I want to do with them, I will share it with you!
I just loved this pumpkin guy and all his little friends!
They had a whole room of Halloween, just so much fun!
After Kathy and I parted, I stopped in Piecemakers in Costa Mesa for a hot apple cider and some eye candy......sorry I didnt get pictures there, but it was so nice to gab with some of the gals there. They tried to talk me into doing the craft show with Leighanne again, we did it for so many years and it is a blast........but I just cant promise until I know how my surgery on my finger turns out.......can you imagine having 3 weeks off work and NOT be able to sew...........
a couple of other quick notes........we went to the Dodger game monday night and it wsa amazing, not so last night, so please please keep your fingers crossed for the Dodgers!!!!!!
AND send out prayers to California please, the fires have started and its windy as hell............lots of homes lost already, we go thru this every year......we need to wind to die down, yesterday there were gusts up to 84 MPH.......
And to all of you who ordered a Witchee Annie, thanks so much and Im working my fingers to the bone getting them ready to fly out of here and on to you!!!!!

Sounds like a perfect day. I have friends from grammar school! And my high school friends are still my nearest and dearest! Nurturing a friendship is very important, the rewards are great!
I have never been there. I think I need to check them out. Maybe a treat to myself for finishing my algebra class...

I love those "pumpkin people"! What a fun store. Wow are you selling dolls again? How did I not know this? Or did I know it and forget...my memory these days is very bad :( How exciting for you and for those of us who love annies!!!
