Cold day....HOT soup

We are on "STORM WATCH" here in So Cali....now I know that just makes all of you crazy that live where it REALLY gets cold, but none the less, I had to turn my heater on for the second time this year......and I NEVER turn my heater on, so I decided to warm us up with a recipe I watched Rachael Ray make on her show...now Im a foodnetwork junkie, I just love watching Paula and Sandra and Ima do their magic, but today I made magic in my kitchen, and YOU can too!!!!! This recipe was so easy its almost a sin!!!! Im not going to type it here because you can go here and type in spicy shrimp and bok choy noodle bowl and it will give you a printable version you can just print and take to the kitchen....easy peasy!!!!!

I did have to go to the market in the pouring rain because I did not have ginger OR clam juice or mushrooms, and btw, my store did not have shitake mushrooms so I just used the brown ones, but let me tell you this noodle bowl was as good as I get at my fav chinese place, even better cuz it had more shrimp!!!! So head on over to the foodnetwork website and print it out, its so easy, went together in 1/2 hour, and yummmmmoooooo!!!!!!! AND I think, because its Diet Challange Monday, this recipe fits the bill, NO fat, lo cal.......speaking of Diet Monday, I have not been able to walk for a few days because of the rain, that coupled with Valentines day and the steak and Lobster we had for dinner and the cheesecake we had for dessert.....and the Bobs Big Boy we had yesterday on the way home from a visit to Morongo casino, ahhhhh....I doubt theres any loss here!!!!!
OK, Im off to snuggle under a blanket and watch Sex in the City......

aw, come on - you can't walk outside but that doesn't mean you can't walk - or fake some step with something you have (stairs? wood? something!)... pacing sucks but that's how i was getting in my 10,000 steps a day before i started my wii fit.

ohhhh- that soup looks good! It sure has been odd weather here in SoCal isn't it! It snowed a little, last week, dime sized- not enough to form a blanket, but just enough to stick a little. Only for about 20 minutes, and then bamm-o it stopped and that was it! Haha! What-the-hooty-palooty?? I know what you mean by cold! It was cold this morning- we had frost. I had to take a couple of pitchers of water to defrost my windshield as I couldn't see a darn tootin' thing trying to back out of my drive way this morning. Insane SoCal weather!
Hugs & Stay warm dear!
