Why I love New England.....

I mostly love Ct. because there are people there I love.....my daughter, my Glenni.....but for a Cali girl, this is paradise. There are many things we do not have here in cali....these geese for instance.....look, they all have babies, bear with me you New Englanders, I know you see this stuff every day, but for me, I get watery eyes seeing this nature. I have sparrows and red finches and crows, you guys have RED cardinals, warblers and blue jays!!!! and GEESE!!!!

One of the highlights of my trip was a hike along a part of the Appalachian Trail, can you say BLISS......a babbling brook, moss, waterfalls, heaven to this desert dweller!

This was an awesome waterfall, and I could have stayed there all day.....

We made it to the top of the hike......I wont mention any of the words that may have slipped out of our mouths on the way up, the point is, my 56 year old rather ample ass made it to the top, and in great time too! This was just heaven for me and I cannot wait to go back and do it again, and again......
I will post more later, Brimfield.....and a great old cemetary were other highlights.....but this hike, unforgetable........

How pretty. Now seeee that's what I'm talking about with the things you dont see here. Like beautiful trees, birds, etc. Nothing better. Well only thing better would be if you were there with me.
I'm glad you had fun on your trip. And I cant wait to see you tomorrow.

I love CT too. I don't know if you've been to Norwalk, but I'll be posting photos of our beach (on Long Island Sound) in the next day or so - take a look if you get the chance.

Hi,
Looks like you had a wonderful time. We live in Rhode Island and it's funny how we don't appreciate the things we have until someone points it out...like geese!!
