Prim Heaven

My sister and I drove down to the beach to visit my only Aunt, and my cousins....she is a quilter and always has been, and she loves prim just like me.....many years ago she lost most of her vision, and for the last few years has been going thru a lot of different things to try to restore it, the latest being a cornea transplant......so for many years she has not been able to sew at all.......I talked her into dragging down some of her unfinished quilts, so I could see them....hopefully someday soon she will be able to finish them, she hand quilts everything and one of these was even totally sewn bu hand, no machine whatsoever!!!!
I love her colors and she is the applique queen...and she is my hero and has always been my inspiration..I love you Aunt Honey!!!!

This is the one she totally sewed by HAND, all those little squares, by HAND.......

See quilting runs in your blood. I have some of those patterns and in fact, the first one is on my list to finish this year. I just have to remember where it is crammed.

Nice quilts. I've made a few of those too. But not by hand. Ohhhh no. Wow that's amazing.

Deb,
That first one, Crimson in Clover is one of my very favorite quilts of all time that I have ever done! I did mine at a class at Stars N Scraps, when Sharon still owned it. I have it hanging in my family room on the wall above the sofa. You may have seen it in some of my blog posts. Your Auntie did beautiful work!

Your aunt makes stunning quilts- I hope that she will get a chance to finish some more of her lovely work. It must be nice to have her as a mentor-
Thank you for sharing her beautiful work.
