Before and After

 So I have not been very motivated lately to sew........

 I wonder why?

 I dont even wanna go in there.....

 It was a nightmare!

 BUT NOW........

 ahhhhhhhhh..........

nice and clean.....ready for business!!!!!!!

Why yes its been forever....

We had our monthly craft club day here at my house...we made Halloween wreaths and had all kinds of fall goodies.....

I made this Halloween candy bark...it was YUMMY!

Did a little decorating, Ill share more this week...

A big thank you to Sharon for all my Halloween goodies including the darling pillow on the bench...

and heres the reason Ive been so dang busy...Cali the Aussie joined our family  a few weeks ago....and here she is being held by Ms Red herself who along with Mr. Red stopped by for a visit when they were in Vegas........

Hopefully things will get back to normal soon, a puppy is a LOT of work!!!!

Its been a LONG HOT FUN summer!!!!!!!

 Seems like forever since Ive blogged, summer is just to busy and HOT to blog lol........
We went up to Oregon to visit friends.......this is a market where the first mill is So. Oregon is located, and they mill all kinds of flours.....I LOVED this store...very old fashioned...and you go downstairs and you can see the old mill which still runs to this day.....

While we were there our friends took us to see Crater Lake....now I have flown over this lake many times going to see my daughter in Seattle, but I had never seen it in person..........STUNNING!!!!!!!!

Our friends live on a 10 acre piece of land that is bordered by a creek...up there they call it a creek, here in cali its a river.........Mai grows everything you can think of in 3 40x40 plots...they also have peach and apple trees, and lots of wild blackberrys..........she is living my dream!!!

this is just one mornings haul of a few things.........the grapes were YUMMY!!!!

 we picked berries and had a cobbler later made of of them!

 this is part of the creek out back of thier house.

this is Mai's new toy........when she has too much produce she hauls it up to the road and sells it along with her fresh salsa and jams and zuchinni bread...she has a loyal following. We go thru her slasa like mad here, they bring it down when they visit.

LOTS of other things going on but I will post the rest of the vacation pics later.......just didnt want anyone thinking I fell off the planet.
Summer has been a blur of visitors and swimming and trying to stay cool.
I have exciting news I will share soon....until then...heres hoping for temps lower that 100 SOON!!!!

Long time no blog....

Well, I have a good excuse...I have been sooooo busy!!! Having FUN!!!!!!!!!

Miss Red Geraniumcame for a visit the beginning of August, I had her for 9 whole days of blissful sewing and eating and drinking and....and well...you get the picture! She managed to give Stella a lesson while she was here:)

 I started with a quilt kit from Pam Kitty and holy smokes, we managed to get a lot out of that kit...so far I have made a quilt, a table topper and these 2 pillows.....just out of the scraps from the quilt!!!!

 The pillows match the quilt I made, on which Sharon is working her magic, and the set will go in my guest room........

 AND I STILL have squares left over!!!! Its the never ending kit! we got them up in Portland when we went to market...

 One night Sharon cooked dinner for us and OMG I had the leftovers for breakfast......

Heres Jamie......hes getting BIG!!!!

So I went to the Long Beach Quilt festival with my sisters and I ran into this cocky gal.......she taught me how to sound like a bird.........seriously.....Im really good LOLOL.....

Yikes...

Just when I say Im going to blog more...time just gets away from me!!!

We just celebrated this little guys first birthday! we had a swim party....but it was so crazy I didnt even get pics!!!

 So Stella is loving to do all the things Nene does...when I make salad...she makes salad lolol...

 OK I have a confession to make........Im pretty old.....LOLOLOL......and I have NEVER EVER made a cake from scratch......til NOW!!!!!!!!!! I saw this cake on Trisha Yearwoods show and anything that has citrus...Im all over it so I decided to try to make this cake...from scratch!

 with my trusty IPAD with the recipe ready......ITS WAS EASY!!!!!!!!!

 look at this yummy batter!!!!!

 fresh and GREEN!!!!

 you poke holes in it and pour over it a mixture of lime juice and powdered sugar.......

 cream cheese frosting..........yummmmmmmmm!!!!!!!

 getting ready for the 4th of July here...I always plants some pots with red white and blue for the summer!!!!!

 lots of summer plans here...leaving for a week on sunny Catalina Island...after that Miss Red  will be visiting for a week of fun........

OH and here is the bearded dragon we got Stella for her birthday........growing like crazy!!!!!

More Quilt Market Eye Candy...and gifties

I was so excited about THIS fabric I could hardly wait to get my hands on it!!! We waited in line forever to get into the sample spree and it was worth it! We even ordered sandwiches in lines on the phone and a guy on his bike delivered them! we were not gonna lose our place LOLOLOL!!!

 Also I LOVE Ms.Pam Kittys fabrics and she did not disappoint!

 And remember I told you about my fav booth.....I did some damage there too.....

 and there was sooooooo much FREE stuff!!!! (dont be a hater LOLOLOL)

 Ms. Red made me a darling bag to carry all my loot in, and she even made a matching zipper bag...

 This is ONE of the gifties she made me...I will show more in a couple days.....how cute is it????? Its going in my RED laundry room!!!

 This is a quilt she made for my grandson Jamie......she has made a few for Stella so she fiqured he might need one...especially if he touches Stellas she gets VERY annoyed!!!! now he has his own with a matching pillow AND pillowcase!

and I forgot to show this a whhile back was my birthday and I have been coveting one of these special houses ....well GUESS WHAT!!?!?!?! oh yes she did!!!!

Ive been very busy lately but I need to get back to blogging, I miss you all......my daughter and I have started with Origami Owl and its been so much fun!!!!

ok next post...more quilt market eye candy...I really dont know where to start sewing.........ahhhhh...maybe that BOM Im 3 months behind on????? lol....
