Happy Birthday Stella!

It has been a year since you came into our lives and changed everything......nothing will ever be as important as making sure you are the happiest baby on earth!!!

Obsessed!!!

For some reason every once in a while Little Cheech will get obsessed with something...the last obsession was Stella Mortimer Moose, Cheech whined for hours over that thing, so what did I do? I did what any good dog mommy does, I went to babies R us and got Cheech her own Mortimer moose...however, the price tag was just 14.99..which isnt too bad...now I have always said nothings too good for my Little Cheech...but the price tag on her latest obsession..elmo..was a tad more...SOOOOOO I was THRILLED when I took a load a crap..I mean good used stuff...to the thrift store and there was ELMO!!!!!! for 2 bucks!!!!! I was a little nervous when I took it home..having hid the "other Elmo" in a closet....but she took to it right away and has not let it out of her sight for days........



Elmo is now missing a leg, t shirt is tattered...and he has been ...shall we say....invaded many times....but she still guards him like a hawk! AND OH I found the same glasses at the thrift store that Crate and Barrel wanted 8 bucks apiece for...and I paid 60 cents each..they had 4...HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!


we are slowly getting moved in the other day I put this hanging plant by my front door on a pedestal and next time I looked a red finch had built her nest there!!!! RIGHT next to my front door....guess we will be using the side door for a while!

Here is the view from my front yard, we just got a sprinkling of snow in the mountains last night..this weather is crazy for so cal....

And here is the view out my back yard...I can see the Nascar track from up here and all the way to Corona....

Housewives Scrappy Retreat....

OK so we have our coffee.....LOVE this coffee..wish we had it in Cali...and we are ready to roll!

we arrive at the Brownstone...and everywhere we look there are these magnificent chandliers....

here is the bar at the Brownstone...oh if only the walls could talk, the deals made...what history here!

we were greeted with a fabulous buffet breakfast...then later on a buffet lunch..the food was to die for!!!!

We had to walk around and take everything in..I tell ya this place was amazing...


so guess who won the trivia contest???? YES...me and my BFF Glenni!!!!!!!!!

sooooooo we did some scrapping....

and we did some sightseeing...this is the Chateau where the NJ housewives get thier manis and pedis....

this is me and Kim D.....we dished a lot, she said we are in for a volatile season!!!

and last but not least...me with my new hall pass Albert!!!!! He is adorable, and so nice!!!

It was a blast going to this retreat.....and now I cant wait for the season the start...come on Housewives of NJ...bring it on!!!!!

My birthday trip...

Sometimes my birthday presents involve a trip back to New England to spend time with my BFF...these are such good times!!!!


She is a hugely talented jewelry maker and she made me these 2 beautiful necklaces...you can see it but she punched my word of the year...which is change...into the locket...just stunning and very precious to me!!!!

Speaking of my word for the year..CHANGE.....boy...who knew at the beginning of the year there would be so many changes in store for me..and I must say, so far, all good!!! Change of address...change of attitude..change of heart...lots of changes. I make a lot of mistakes,,,but I try to make it right when I do wrong...and one thing I have had to learn this year is to forgive. I have learned that forgiveness is a gift to ME...I cannot control anyone else..just me..and although I mess up I do try to make it right.

Been busy......

I havent had much time to blog lately...I have been moving!!!!!!!!!!!





Its been so crazy....but we are finally in the new house....maybe not all unpacked, but in!!!!!!!! I will post pics soon!!!!

Tomorrow I will try to post pics of an amazing trip I took...for my birthday my hubby gave me a trip back east to a Housewives of New Jersey scrapbook retreat with my best friend Glenni..and let me tell you I had a blast!!!!! We got to dish with Kim D....and meet Albert...who by the way is my new hall pass...lololololol.....so all about it tomorrow!!!!!!! back to unpacking...my family wants to kill me for all the sewing scrappy craft crap I have....more boxes of all of it than anything else combined!!!!!!!!!

Road trip......

I have been so busy I dont even have time to blog...Im moving..but I did take a road trip with my best friend Glenni to the Brownstone in New Jersey for a Housewives of New Jersey scrapbook crop....and we had a blast......I promise I will blog pics of it very soon.....in the meantime. back to packing..ugh...I need to go on Hoarders...Im drowning in crap!

Sunnys shower....

Sunny is my daughters best friend..they have been best friends since they were in diapers, we have lived across the street from each other for 25 years, in 2 different cities...YES we moved into the house across the street from them the frist time by accident, the second time on purpose....we literally followed them so our girls could stay together. They went on vacations together, they went to see the New Kids on the Block together when they were little...they were each others maid of honor..and now they are having babies together, well, a year apart, which is what they are! So this is the shower that the girls, there are 4 best friends now, put on for Sunny...and it was so sweet. Her color is green, shes having a boy named Logan, and her theme is elephants...remember that cute invitation and diaper bag I showed you last week!

This is the dessert table....all kinds of goodies were dipped in chocolate yumminess!


Of course Stella joined the party!









It was a lot of fun...but it also makes me feel very very old..where have the last 25 years gone????
