CVS and other goals.....

This is my CVS haul from yesterday.....I have been slacking on my frugal shopping, and one of my 2009 goals is to get back to CVSing and the Grocery Game. It just makes sense in these times. Last year I did not pay for ANY toiletries, pain relief medications, and hardly any cleaning supplies....and I noticed my toothpaste and excedirin stash is low....and I realized I had not CVSed in months. Just got lazy I guess. SO with coupons in hand I managed to get all this stuff for 26 cents out of pocket, and I left with about 10.00 in extra bucks, which means THEY paid ME for all this stuff!!!!! If you want to learn how to do it, go to www.moneysavingmom.com....this gal is amazing!!!!

My other goal, was supposed to be finished by January, but I didn't make it....maybe it was the summer weather we had.....at any rate, my goal was to organize all my scrappy stuff and my sewing stuff so I know where everything is. Do any of you ever buy stuff you already have because you cant find it?????? So now I know where everything is, and I dont have to run to Michaels because I cant find black floss, or scrapbook paper, or a stamp pad......So Im almost done with it....maybe a couple more weeks, then , onto to the drawers......

Somehow every drawer in my house has become a junk drawer..........
OH and I almost forgot, or I'd like to forget, diet Monday....Im not wieghing myself every week any more, because its just too depressing...but I did walk a few times last week, until it started raining, and I will make it a goal to walk an hour everyday......also, I never posted my salad recipe so heres my fav:
take the kernels off of 4 cobs of corn and parboil, just for a couple of minutes. Mix together with an avacado cubed, a 1/2 of a red onion chopped, and a diced tomato. add a few tablespoons of chopped cilantro, and then squeeze in the juice of 2 limes, and add a bit of olive oil.....some kosher salt, pepper and mix well....HEAVEN!!!!

Mmmmm, your salad sounds yummers! And it looks like you have a nice stash of stuff in your crafting area! I always buy duplicate stuff! Oh well.
Happy Rainy Monday.

I want you to become my personal shopper and organizer. I organized my sewing room once. It was a long long time ago.

Way to organize! It looks great. I've been organizing my kitchen this week...actually last week. I think it was that fake Spring weather we had--made me want to clean!! I'm with you on the not weighing in every week :)
