If you want something done.......do it yourself!!!!

and thats exactly what I did....lol....WHILE hubby napped!!!!! My daughter and her bff decided to go to IKEA, so since they had a large vehicle I had them get this.....

and since I wanted it put together RIGHT AWAY....I got busy!!!!!

After 2 mistakes, and taking it apart again, I finally managed to get it done. Of COURSE I did not think the mistakes were mine at first...it HAD to be their fault....but I perservered..and figured it out, and of course it was MY fault!!! It only took me 2 and 1/2 hours even with the mistakes so Iam getting better!!!!! I had already put together several pieces....so it went a little faster than the first time.

VOILA!!!!!!

See the other red piece....that was my first piece I put together a couple of years ago.....

See these wonderful ladies.....I got to finally meet them this week....

If you ever visit Kris' blog you have heard about her chickens. Kris invite me over to learn to crochet with the Knitty Bitties, and since I had RESOLVED to learn, I jumped at the chance. It was a fun time....Kris is a great hostess....even offered to let us pick fruit from her orchard, which I sadly forgot to do:(
I guess I will just have to go back!!!

I wanted to make a little blanket for my grandson who is due this June....and the nursery will be a rock and roll theme, reds and grays...so I got this cotton yarn but since I knew NOTHING about yarn and crocheting, I did not realize it was HARD to work with and not so soft....so after doing a few rows, I decided to scrap this project, use the yarn for dishrags, and move on to some softer yarn...

Here is my progress after a few rows......its relaxing thats for sure!!!!

THIS kept her busy for a LONG time!!!!!!

She even made an ice cream cone.....

Shes getting so big...not so much a baby anymore, but not to worry....there will be 2 new babies to welcome soon....

SO far my RESOLVE has been pretty good....Im learning to crochet, I have not bitten my fingernails yet...and I can play the Theme from the Titanic on the piano.....BUT my RESOLVE in the fitness area is lacking so this week that will be my focus....wish me luck!!!!!!
How bout you, are you sticking to your resolutions????

OK, I love that new piece of furniture and want one! ;-) It would look fabulous in my entry way - I'm coming to get yours. LOL

I used to crochet years (many years). Tried to do it again last year and couldn't - what the heck is up with that? LOL I'm glad you're learning and enjoyed the lessons with the Knitty Bitties.

Gotta love those chickies - we had chickens when I was a little girl.

That dresser is so darn cute. Love the color! You did a great job. Isn't Kris' house just the cutest? It's so homey and comfortable. I need a nap just thinking about it.

Very nice dresser! You are doing really well with your resolutions. You should be proud. I'm doing "EH" on mine. Weigh in on Tuesday so we will see. I need to get back on my walking routine.

Congrats on the crochet! I have tried but my fingers just become useless appendages that cannot function with hook and yarn in them *s*
