Rogers Gardens and more...

We finally had a sunny day here in So Cal so my sister and I decided to take a drive down to the beach and visit one of our fav places..Rogers Gardens....

I could spend an entire year,,,,and a years salary in this place!!!!

They had all the red white and blue out for memorial day and the 4th of July...

Iam so inspired by these gals that Im going to spend some time in my sewing room and see what I come up with!!

and these watermelon men....to die for!!!!

and check out the little Uncle Sam cupcake!!!

OMG this owl!!!!!!!

And these....OMGGGGGGG...and I could have had one...for 500 bucks!!!!!!

Rogers has the most beautiful succulent arrangements....

and how bad did I want one of these little hanging birds!!!!!

It just doesnt get any better than Rogers Gardens!!!!
OK...so I will show you what I bought in another post....onto the ride home!!!!
We had a wonderful lunch at CPK....and then onto another favorite stop...THE BAKERY!!!

Holy Cow....this tiramusu....I have no words!!!!

This bakery is always packed!!!!!

Linda and I both stood in line to get fat....lolol...are there enough carbs on these trays???????????
OK OK we did NOT EAT all this stuff there...we brought it home for later...those cheese and garlic rolls...omg...again I have no words!!!!

OK...the rest of the ride home...well, of course we had to stop at our LQS...and do a little damage there...

How cute is this owl quilt??????? boy I tell ya...owls are everywhere....its like the 70s all over again!

This is the friendliest shop around so if you are ever in So Cal you must put it on your list!!!!!
So after our visit at Stars.......we finally headed home.......car loaded with goodies, stomachs full...and wallets empty....but a perfectly perfect day!!!!!!!

THE OWL! THE OWL! Go back and get the owl. Oh, and while you're there, can you get me one of those cheesy garlic roll thingies?

Looks like a wonderful place to visit! Retro is making a comeback! 70s and 80s all over again. I'm debating on growing my hair long (again) just so I can have that 80s rocker, big hair look!! LOL!! I kid, I kid! But I ROCKED the big hair back in the day. :)

OMG, OMG - Rogers!! I'm depressed. So far away. Do they have a web site? I would want everything too. Love, love the watermelon men. I might try that. You know, its time to starting planning for the 4th party!! I love all the pictures. Looks like you had a fantastic day. Debi

You and Linda are so lucky to live close enough to see each other often! Somehow I got really behind on reading your blog, and Stella learned to walk. What a cutie she is. Aren't grandkids just the best?
