Spa Day.............

My daughter and I recently spent the day at Glen Ivy, its a day spa about 1/2 hour from my house. They have all kinds of spas, mineral baths, roman baths, and beleive me, we sat in all of them, all day till we were wrinkled up prunes!!!!

They have a nice cafe there, and we shared some nachos for an afternoon snack.....

They are famous for thier red clay mud baths....you rub the red mud all over your body then you bake in the sun...

We had a wonderful relaxing day... thanks Sharon.....we try to get out there a few times a year, I dont know why I dont go more often.....its the best place to veg out...and the way the summer is hanging on here I may get a couple more trips in...anyone wanna join me?????? I know its Glennis fav place to go when she visits cali.......
Its was horrid hot again today, will it ever cool down....hope its cooler where you are!

Fall Food Fest......or..we can try to pretend...

OK, it may be fall, but its still 100 degrees here, so when the sistas came over for a get together, we at least tried to pretend its fall. They even wore thier Gwen Stefani jackets, but I was so excited to see them, I forgot to take a picture!!!! Of course it all started with the cheeseball, every get together has too you know!

In the spirit of fall we had some yummy apples and caramel dip......

And Sharon made us yummy steaming bowls of shrimp bisque, soooooooooo delicious!!!!!!! and the wine wasnt bad either, lolololol.......

and what would a get together be without gifts??????????

Nancy brought us yummy candy in the cutest Halloween bowl, and there was also some darling snowman buttons in the bowl too.........AND some wicked good Sees candy!!!!!! and Sharon brought us HAlloween Towels and a candle, and yummy goodies to eat too!!!!! seems with us, its all about the food, lol, and the gifts!!!!!!
I love getting together to sew with these gals, but somehow I never lifted a needle, lololololol...........thats ok, I will make up for it tomorrow, I need to put the borders on my quilt so Sharon can put daisy to work!
Hopefully soon it will start feeling like fall around here.....

Come to Momma.....

Even tho I said I was not going to buy any more shoes, or purses, for a long time, a girl can still dream cant she?????????

I had a little get together last night with the sistas, but I have to blog it later, I have to go to work right now. Funny thing is, when I looked at the pictures, all I had taken pics of was the food and the gifts, lololol, not even one of a PERSON,lololol, even when the sistas showed up in their Gwen Stefani jackets, in 100 degree heat I might add, I was so excited to see them I didnt take a pic!!!!!

Anyways, hopefully Sharon will have lots of shots, she always does!!!!! She better, cuz Ms. NICE blog didnt bring HER camera.........so Sharon better save the day! BUT I will have great pics of the food,lololo.......

Off to work, in the horrid heat, will fall ever get here???

The Pigs vacation........

Recently the pig and I traveled to Ct. to spend a week with my daughter, the pig was very happy to get to see TaTa again, its been awhile since the pig had traveled.

It's a good thing they have our drink of choice in Ct.....

In Ct. they have a place called Stew Leonards.....its a good thing they dont have one here, those apple cider donuts are too die for, and the pig ate way too many!!!!!!

Thank goodness there was a computer to keep up with the bloggy world out there!!!!!

More Spritzer fun.......

I had a visitor today at work, I was spritzing away, and who should show up but the famous Ms. Red Geranium, fresh off her trip to Vegas, still with Maries scent on her hand......she let me touch it, I was honored!!! She brought me yummy candy, and omg I would not even share it with my co workers......Sharon was so thrilled, she got to see Donny and Marie, and little did she know, she was soon to meet Gwen, YES, Gwen came in to help me sell her latest perfume, so not only does Sharon have Marie all over her hand, shes got her hand all over Gwen!!!!!!

I never knew Gwen was soooooo TALL!!!!!!!!!

Just another day in the life of a spritzer!

Perfume Spritzers....and a Give Away!

As some of you may know there is a new movie out called the women, with Meg Ryan and an all star cast....its a very funny movie, go see it, with your girlfriends, NOT your hubby! Anyways, as a few of you know, and now the rest of you, I AM a perfume spritzer...yes, its true! And in defense of spritzers everywhere, I feel I must defend our honor since we were defamed in this movie. This is Chelsey, she loves her job so much she double spritzes.....

This is Monica, she gets a little excited sometimes when she has a customer, she wants, NO, she NEEDS them to buy her perfume....even if they dont want to!!!!

Contrary to the movie, spritzers do not gossip......they are just talking about the latest fragrance to come out....

This is me..........sometimes spritzers have too much time on thier hands.....

This is Traci...aka cupcake....shes a NICE spritzer, she never gossips, and she would never spray you without your permission, unlike some other spritzers we know..........
OK, heres the deal...in defense of all spritzers everywhere, Im having a give away.....and what better to give away???????? perfume samples!!!!!!! lots of them!!!!!! you will smell good for a long time!!!!! I'm a big girl now, and some prim stuff....

OMG you guys, yesterday I finished my first big girl quilt, NOT a table runner, NOT a table topper, but a real big girl quilt!!!!!!!! and Im hooked!!!!!!! I used to think a quilt would take years to make, and for a gal like me who likes instant gratification, thats just way too long, BUT my sistas assured me I could do this, and I did!!!! mucho thanks to Ms. NoBlog and her partner in crime Ms. Geranium, Ms. NoBlog for teaching me and Ms. Sharon for threatining me that I better get it done....both of them are just the best and walked me thru this whole process....and I'm sure it wasnt easy....one time when I cut into a piece I wasnt spose to, they auctually fixed it for me, Sharon just went into her store,I mean her sewing room, and came out with the same fabric, and they made me a new square.....so without further ado, I dedicate this quilt to THEM!!!!!!!! lol.....can you do that??????? Its not a dang emmy after all, but I feel like its a throphy, especially for me who gets bored very fast and never finishes anything that cant be made in a day!!!!!! Now it doesnt have the borders yet, thats a whole different thing for me, but with Ms. NoBlogs help, I know I can do anything!!!!!!!

Today I dragged down my big orange tote filled with FALL...and I found this wall hanging I had made many many years ago, from a Piecemakers book.....I love it, and it was so much fun to make!

One reason I love to drag down fall boxes and Christmas totes is because most of my things have been made for me by my special friends......I have never kept anything I have made, its always been put in a show or sold on my website, which no longer exists,so its always a treat to have these things around me. This great prim gal was made by Raggedyoldfriend
and the fun wood stuff by Glenni...I love them!!

I collect old picnic baskets, these are a few of my new additions....I love them for prim decor but also because I use them for storage, you will find anything from fabric to books in them.....

Is it fall yet???? Sure looks like it from all the fall magazines, and I will pretend, but it is still in the 90s here in Cali.....these new fall magazines are such eye candy, I cant wait to sit down and devour them!

Isnt this cup awesome.....Ms. No Blog who now has a blog gave it to me, and I love it. Now I cant wait for a road trip.......Glenni....lol...whenever you are ready road trip partner!!!!

Speaking of Glenni, she told me about these awesome wire picture thingys at Pier One, one of my fav stores, so of course if Glenni speaks it, I must have it, and so I ran down and got a couple. Not sure yet if I want it diagonal or horizontal?

Is my life, I mean my calender a mess or what? Its out of control, I must work on it soon and make it the work of art I know it can be.......

I love crows, I dont know about you , but they are so prim, I have them all over my house......

Cupcake Heaven and more gifties.....

OMG Can I tell you how excited Iam about my cupcake swap gifts!!!!!!! My partner over at The Yellow Farmhouse outdid herself and she must have read my mind because I have been wanting one of those Betz White pin cushions FOREVER!!!!!! and the sweetest hand stitched picture, and a cupcake book and sprinkles and a little spatula.....so much fun in one box, thanks sooooooooo much you are the BEST!!!!!!!

This quilt was the runner up, can you beleive it, gift I got from Sharon at the PJ party for the candy tasting contest.........I LOVE it and since its almost fall, it found a place already on my couch, but I may move it to my table, oh its so awesome, thanks sista!!!!!

I met Sharon for lunch the other day, and we had a nice chat..great food...and she gave me one of the coolest charms , but I cant seem to get a good picture of it, its one of the glass soldered charms, it has a fairy on the front and this saying on the back..."If you havent got anything nice to say, come sit next to me".....I love it.....thanks so much sista!
I also want you all to meet my other fab sista who just got her own BLOG...you all know her as Ms. NancyNoBlog........BUT NOW SHE HAS A BLOG!!! Go check it out, its awewome and I LOVE her header!!!!!!!!! Shes the amazing teacher that taught me at the PJ party how to make the most amazing quilt......I hope to work on it later today!!!!
OK.....my last day off before I have to work all weekend, I better get busy.......oh and before I forget, I wanna wave a big hi to CINDY who is on a LONG vacation over in Spain, but she told me she would check my blog on her fancy new I phone..."hola Cindy!"

PJs Gifties and let's dispell the rumor!

OK, I think theres a rumor floating around blogland by a certain sista of mine, and I think I need to refresh her memory.......YES there was a few drinks consumed at the pajama party, and here is proof.....now just how did Miss Geranium end up on the floor I ask.........

Here are the awesome gifties exchanged at the party, such handmade goodness!!!!!!! Nancy made the most adorabel pillowcase I have evern seen, I took it on my vacation and slept on it every night! and she also made us cool purses with our template for the quilt she taught us inside, and the best little polka dot credit card holder WITH a starbucks card inside, which is all gone so I cant show it,lolol...

Sharon made us bags, bags and more bags, the coolest Halloween purse, with little purses made out of Halloween fabric, a darling little zippered pouch that had titanium scissors and a pack of needles in it.......plus a big cellophane wrapped gift with a tray, candys, a frame, just so much yumminess...and she even got us matching tee shirts which I think you can see over at her blog....
And last but certainly not least, Beth got us a cool bag full of Bath and Body goodness and she knit us a washcloth.....
I love my sistas!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the Grindstone.....

As promised, the pigs were reunited!!!!! Iam blogging out of order, I still have pajama party pics to post, and giftie pics, but I will do that tomorrow...for now, heres a few vacation pics...........

We went to Sernedippity in NYC and had the frozen hot chocolate, if you ever go, make it a must do!!!!!

We spent fun days relaxing on the beach, swimming in the lake and kyaking, thanks Glenni for bringing it over ...we had a blast......although I missed kyaking with you!!!!!

Went to work today, it sucked.........I want another vacation!!!!!!

Leaving for cooler weather....

Todays the day.......we ( the pig and I) are leaving for New England.....and I cant wait to get out of this heat!!! I will try to blog the rest of the pics from the PJ party and all the fab gifties I got.....from CT......
